My surgeon had a lovely manner and I wouldn't have changed anything about him, He phoned my daughter immediately after my operation to let her know I was OK. He also came straight to see me and tell me that it had gone well. He followed up the next day with a kind and smiling manner. At the 7 week appointment I was told I could drive and swim again, which pleased me enormously and he offered me the reassurance that everything remained fine. At the 4 month appointment, the surgeon made every effort to see me, even though I had been seen by the registrar. I felt that I had been given excellent service and his bedside manner remained excellent. Following this experience, I feel like a new woman. With my new hip I am able to walk with no limp and free of pain and have a renewed confidence in my life.
