ACP-Tendo

ACP-Tendo is a novel and simple way of treating tendinopathies. Combining autologous conditioned plasma (ACP, also known as platelet-rich plasma) with a collagen scaffold results in a slow-release preparation that enables a prolonged release of growth factors to the area of injury. The collagen scaffold Vergenix STR is an engineered human collagen extracted from tobacco plants. A single injection with the combination of ACP and Vergenix STR creates a depot of growth factors that are released slowly with time, resulting in prolonged pain relief with a single injection.
